How many meals does the Europa E1 support?
Up to 5 meals per day. It is perfect for "small and frequent" feeding schedules, whether you're at home or away.
How does it keep food fresh and warm it up?
The E1 uses a Dual-Zone Temperature Control system:
- Storage Zone: A semiconductor cooling system keeps the remaining 4 trays at a low temperature to prevent spoilage.
- Serving Zone: 30 minutes before the scheduled time, the device starts warming the active tray. Once finished, the heat stops, allowing the food to naturally settle at around 30°C (86°F)—mimicking fresh prey for better palatability.
What happens if my cat doesn't show up at the scheduled time?
The E1 features a Smart Feeding Window:
- If no activity is detected within 2 minutes of opening, the lid closes to protect the food.
- If your cat approaches within a 15-minute window, the lid reopens instantly.
- Once the window expires, the lid remains sealed to prevent prolonged exposure. You can manually extend this window in the App.
Will the lid close while my cat is eating?
No. We have a Dual-Safety Mechanism:
- AI Vision: When the camera is on, it detects your cat and stays open.
- Physical Protection: Even if the camera is off, the lid features anti-pinch resistance—it stops and retracts instantly if it senses any physical obstruction.
What is the camera for? What about my privacy?
The built-in camera is for safety and monitoring:
- Safety: It identifies movement to prevent the lid from closing while the cat is near.
- Monitoring: You can check real-time eating habits or see if the tray is empty via the App.
- Privacy: You can manually turn off the camera in the App. The device will still operate safely using its physical anti-pinch sensors.
Which App do I need? Are there any subscription fees?
It uses the Smart Life App (available on iOS & Android). There are no subscription fees for all standard feeding and monitoring features.
What happens if the Wi-Fi is unstable?
Feeding goes on. Your scheduled plans are stored locally on the device. A temporary Wi-Fi outage will not affect the feeding schedule, only remote App control and real-time syncing.
What types of food are supported?
Recommended: Wet food, liquids (goat milk, water).
Supported: Freeze-dried and raw food (though long-term storage is not recommended to ensure peak freshness).
How do I clean the feeder?
Food Trays: Removable and Dishwasher Safe (under 212°F / 100°C).
Main Body: Wipe clean only. Do not wash the interior or the cooling system with water.
Maintenance: Regularly clean pet hair from the air intake to ensure optimal cooling.
Does it support TF cards for recording?
Yes, the feeder features a TF card slot for local video storage, allowing you to save and review feeding moments. Please note that the TF card is not included and needs to be purchased separately.
